Deliverance Hope.
“That’s me. That’s my name.”
If the title of the book isn’t eye catching, the author’s name certainly is.
Deliverance Hope is the new name the author chose for herself in the aftermath of a divorce.
“I found that my whole life had changed,” she said. “The name Deliverance Hope just came upon me so I legally changed my name and started anew.”
And she started writing.
The Pioneer Museum of Alabama will be a host site on Deliverance Hope’s Faith & Family Tour for “Maggie Mae & Me –The Beginning” from 2 until 5 p.m. Friday. The public is invited to attend.
Deliverance Hope will be available to talk about the ‘Maggie Mae & Me” series and to sign her books.
“‘Maggie Mae and “Me’ is about a seven-year-old boy, ‘Me,’ who is left to watch over his sister, Maggie Mae,” Deliverance Hope said. “Their family life is not great and it’s their grandmother who leads them toward God. The book tour is based on this 11-book series.”
Deliverance Hope’s writing career has spanned seven years. During that time, she has penned 200 books.
“The books are all Christian based,” the Sylacauga author said. “Faith is more than what happens on Sunday mornings. It’s a part of who we are, inside and out. I believe in sharing the joy of the gospels daily and living a life that embodies the spirit of Christ. Through prayer and meditation, we open our hearts, minds, and souls to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, showing us the paths that God intends for us to follow.”
Deliverance Hope’s faith guides her writing.
“Things come to me all the time so I write all the time,” she said. “I write my thoughts down and soon all those things become a book. My goal is to inspire a real world return to the old fashioned values of faith and family.”
The book tour has taken the Deliverance Hope all across the state. She will leave Troy for Dothan and then stops in Seaside and other places in Florida before coming back to Alabama.
Deliverance Hope’s writing has inspired a line of Christian greeting cards and gifts such as prayer jars, exquisite photography of God’s beautiful world, embossed with inspiration excerpts from her writing.
