Pike County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man charged with burglarizing the same residence three times and breaking into another vehicle.

Deputies stopped William Navarre, 37, at the Little Oak Grocery Monday and took him into custody without incident on the felony charges.

“The original burglary took place on October 7, 2018, on County Road 2253,” said Sgt. Kevin Childs. “The second burglary took place October 10 at the same residence. Monday, a third burglary occurred and the homeowner actually saw the vehicle leaving the residence.”

Childs said Navarre had stolen gun accessories and ammunition as well as a laptop computer from the residence during the burglaries.

Some of those items were recovered inside the vehicle after officers arrested Navarre, Childs said.

“During the inventory process of the vehicle we also discovered methamphetamines, marijuana, and oxycodone pills,” Childs said.

In addition to the burglary and drug charges, Childs said Navarre is also charged with stealing an assault rifle out of a vehicle on County Road 3336.

In all, Navarre is charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, one count of unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, all Class C Felonies. He was also charged with second-degree possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.

The passenger in the vehicle, Jessica Jordan, 36, was charged with second-degree possession of marijuana as well.

Class C Felonies are punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Navarre was placed into the Pike County Jail and is being held on a $14,000 bond.
