Bulldogs clinch region title

The Pike County Bulldogs kept to their winning ways when they knocked off Opp 51-6 on Friday night to clinch the Region 2 championship.
The win for the Bulldogs was their seventh in a row and now sit at 7-1 overall and 6-0 in region play.
Derrick Myhand stole the show for the Bulldogs on Friday night when he led the team with 267 yards rushing on just five carries. He also added four touchdowns.
Rayshawn Reynolds picked up 106 yards on five carries and scored two touchdowns.
Jaidyn Wilson completed three of his seven passes for 108 yards and also had a touchdown. Darrick Myhand hauled in one catch for 25 yards.
The Bulldogs scored the first 51 points of the contest to put the game away early.
Darrick Myhand got the scoring started when he hauled in a Wilson pass and scored from 25-yards out. Derrick Myhand scored the next two on runs of 31 and 51 yards.
Darrick Myhand scored his final touchdown of the night on a 13-yard touchdown run to bring the score to 25-0.
Reynolds scored his first touchdown of the night on a 35-yard touchdown run and Derrick Myhand added a 92-yard touchdown run to put the Bulldogs up 38-0.
Reynolds and Derrick Myhand closed out the scoring with runs of 12 and 87 yards.
The Bulldogs will be back in action next Friday night when they close out area play at home against Straughn.
