Democratic gubernatorial candidate Walt Maddox stopped at Momma Goldberg’s in Troy Friday night ahead of the election Tuesday for the seat. Maddox emphasized his proposed educational lottery and turning around areas in which Alabama ranks last or near the bottom nationally. “This is our moment,” Maddox old the crowd. He stuck around after giving his brief speech to talk to residents more about his policies and platform and to ask for their vote on Tuesday.
