CHHS comes up short

The Charles Henderson boy’s basketball team dropped the opening game of the season against Mae Jemison 73-60 on day one of the Scottsboro Tournament Monday afternoon.
After coming out of the first quarter on top, the Trojans were outscored in the final three quarters against the Jaguars.
The Trojans began the second quarter with a 12-7 lead. Mae Jemison rallied in the second quarter and outscored the Trojans 23-13 to take a 30-25 lead into the locker room at half time.
Keith Wheeler led the Trojans with 11 points in the first half.
The Trojans were outscored in the second half 43-35 and secured the 13-point win.
Wheeler finished the game as Charles Henderson’s leading scorer with 20 points. Devin Parker finished with 13, while Keonte Brantley had nine. Josh Foster had four points, Marcus Grant had three points. Jay Taylor and Zach Henderson each had two.
