Lady Patriots extend losing streak with loss

The Pike Liberal Arts Lady Patriots dropped their fourth-straight game on Monday night when they fell to Abbeville Christian 57-38.
The loss for the Lady Patriots drops their overall record on the season to 6-6.
Shelby Renfroe led the way for the Patriots with 10 points on the night, including the Patriots’ final seven points. Ansley Adams and Tiffany Johnson each chipped in with nine. Tarah Todd Floyd had six points, Tana Singleton and Lakin Harrell each had two.
The Patriots were behind the 8-ball early when they went into the second quarter trailing by nine points at 20-11. The Patriots saw the lead slip away a little more in the second quarter when they were outscored 12-9. They went into the locker room at halftime trailing by 12 at 32-20.
The Patriots scored the first four points in the second half and crept to within eight at 32-24. They never got any closer. The Generals went on a 9-0 run to stretch their lead back into double digits and never looked back. The Lady Patriots trailed by as many as 26 points in the fourth quarter.
The Lady Patriots will hit the road on Tuesday to take on Glenwood in Smiths Station.
