The Charles Henderson golf team hosted their first of four matches at the Troy Country Club on Thursday morning.

The Trojans welcomed Enterprise, Andalusia, Opp and Kinston to the country Club. The Trojans fired a 326 as a team, good enough for third place in the match.

Enterprise shot a team total of 319 to claim the match win on Thursday. Andalusia finished one stroke back at 320 to finish in second. Opp shot a 363 to finish in fourth.

Charles Henderson junior Griffin McCrary shot a team low 71 to claim second place behind only Andalusia’s Adam Kilpatrick, who finished one stroke ahead of McCrary with a 70.

Braxton Barron shot a 76 for the Trojans, while Grant Baker broke 90 with an 89. Braden Prestwood shot a 90 and Cody Paramore shot a 94.

The Trojans golf team will compete in a match in Northview on March 19. They will play in Troy on March 21, April 11, April 18 and April 25.
