Owls fly to Troy for weekend series

The Troy Trojans swept the Arkansas State Red Wolves last weekend for their second consecutive Sun Belt series win. The sweep got the Trojans over the .500 mark in Sun Belt play and Troy will look to continue the series streak this weekend when the Florida Atlantic Owls come to town.
Troy (19-13, 7-5 Sun Belt) has won five of its last six games in conference and is sitting in fourth place in the Sun Belt Standings behind Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee and Florida International.
Troy and FAU are in the middle of the pack in team batting and team pitching. Troy’s sits in eighth in team batting average with a clip of .301. FAU’s batting average is .310, which is good enough for sixth.
Troy comes in at fourth in team ERA with an earned run average of 5.62 while the Owls are seventh with an ERA of 5.92.
The weekend series begins today at 6 p.m. and Saturday’s game will also be at 6 p.m. from Riddle-Pace Field.
The series finale on Sunday will begin at 1 p.m.
