Betty Jean Drinkard Knotts

Betty Jean Drinkard Knotts, 86, of Troy, died Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at her home after a lengthy illness. Betty graduated from Goshen High School, worked for the USDA for 50 years and also worked for several years at Guynn’s Bookkeeping. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church for over 60 years. She loved and was instrumental in the success of Pike Liberal Arts School. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Her greatest joy and pride was in her grandchildren.

A funeral service for Betty Knotts was held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Bo Weed and Reverend Andrew Knick officiating. Burial followed in the Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Her survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Karen Knotts,Troy, Mike Knotts, Troy, Mark and Dawn Knotts, Troy; her grandchildren, Brooke Necaise, Katie Knotts, Jeffery Knotts, Brittany Garrott, Jessica Knotts, Amanda Knotts, Ragan Knotts and Ridge Knotts; her great-grandchildren, Brodie and Braylyn Hoda, and Kaiyen Garrott; her siblings, Robert Drinkard, Boyd (Pat) Drinkard, Ammanette (Raymond) Kyzar, Donnie (Pat) Drinkard; her sisters-in-law, Eunice (Joe) Borland and Jinene Drinkard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lehman Law Drinkard and Ina Beard Drinkard; husband, Gillis Knotts; siblings, Billy Drinkard, Hugh Drinkard, Alvin Drinkard, Mary Claire Drinkard and Charles Lehman Drinkard.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Drinkard, Greg Ricks, Ray Kyzar, Donnie Knotts, Freddie Borland and Danny Knotts. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies Sunday School Class of Southside Baptist Church.
