After knocking off rival Pike County on Monday afternoon, the Charles Henderson Trojans fell to another rival in Ozark on Tuesday afternoon.
The Trojans and Eagles traded sets on Monday, but it was Carroll who picked up the win by scores of 13-25, 25-19, 25-14, 9-25 and 13-15.
“We put ourselves in a position to win tonight and just couldn’t finish,” said head coach Sonny Kirkpatrick. “When a team is up 13-9 in the fifth set, you really put yourself in a good opportunity to pull out the match. No matter what happens in set 5, we never competed in the fourth set.”
Nyla Shipman finished the match with 10 kills and two aces, while Raelynn Hornsby had six kills and six aces. Naja Canty and Madison Stewart each had four kills.
The Trojans will be back in action on Thursday for a tri-match in Goshen against both Goshen and G.W. Long. The Trojans will begin the day with a match against Goshen at 4:30. They will finish up against G.W. Long at 7:00.
