The Zion Chapel Rebels will get another crack at having a winning record on Friday evening when they host Central Hayneville this evening in Jack.
The Rebels have traded losses and wins for much of the season and, on Friday, they hope to get back on the winning track.
The Rebels currently sit at 3-3 overall this season and are 1-3 in region play.
The Rebels fell to Highland Home a week ago by a score of 49-0. The shutout loss continued a trend for the Rebels this season. The Rebels have been shutout in all three losses and have given up on average 52 points per game. The Rebels have averaged 33 points per game in their wins including a season-high 47 in their win over Calhoun.
This week’s contest features a 2-4 Central Hayneville team that also sits 1-3 in region play. The Lions snapped a four-game losing streak last week with a 22-19 home win over Samson.
The 19 points allowed by the Lions was the fewest points allowed this season since their shutout win over Barbour County in the season opener.
The Rebels knocked off the Lions last season 27-12. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Greene Memorial Stadium.
