Mr. Glyn Kersey, 82, a resident of Troy, died Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Troy Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services for Mr. Kersey will be Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, with Rev. Danny Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Glyn served in his beloved marines in the late 50’s and met and married Dottie Lee Brannon and had two sons Terry and Anthony. He was a 33-degree Scottish Rite Mason and was also a past president of Troy Shrine Club. He owned Kersey Termite Co. in Troy for decades.

Mr. Kersey is survived by his sons, Terry Kersey (Shannon) and Anthony Kersey (Kim); grandchildren, Terry Kersey II, Max Kersey, Ashlee Brooke Kersey, Stephanie Anne Kersey, Alex Shipman and Jessica Shipman.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dottie Lee Brannon Kersey; parents, O.B. and Cora Kersey; siblings, Clifford Kersey, Randall Kersey, Thelma Norris, Margaret Clark and Max Kersey.

Pallbearers will be Terry Kersey II, Max Kersey, Joseph Leveque, Wayne Kersey, Darren Kersey and Alex Shipman.

The family will be accepting flowers or donations can be made in Mr. Kersey’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, Shriners Children’s Hospital, or a charity of your choosing.
