Eagles fall short against Zion Chapel

The Goshen Lady Eagles fell to rival Zion Chapel 47-34 on Tuesday evening in Jack.
After staying close to the Rebels in the opening quarter, the Eagles went into the second trailing by two at 8-6.
The Rebels gained their separation in the second quarter when they outscored the Eagles 14-4 and went into halftime holding a 22-10 lead.
Ajayden Rogers scored eight third quarter points and the Eagles outscored the Rebels 17-15 in the quarter and went into the fourth trailing 37-27.
Carlisha Jackson made a fourth quarter 3-pointer, but the Eagles failed to climb back and earn the win.
The Eagles had four different players score in the game led by Rogers who finished with 13 points. Ashunte Freeman finished with 11 points, while Ella Baker and Jackson each finished with five points.
