The Charles Henderson Lady Trojans began play in the 2020 Class 5A State Playoffs on Monday evening in Troy.
After winning their area tournament, the Trojans hosted Brewbaker Tech on Monday.
The Trojans steamrolled their way to an 86-11 win over the Rams. The win for the Trojans closes out their home schedule this season. With the win the Trojans have gone six full season’s without a home loss.
The Trojans shot 50 percent from behind the arc, going 7 for 14. Mykyia Milton led the way with three 3-pointers.
After taking a 27-4 lead into the second quarter, Niaira Jones scored 12-second quarter points. The Trojans outscored the rams 30-4 in the quarter and went into halftime leading 57-8.
Samira Moore scored 13 points in the third quarter and the Trojans once again held the Rams to four points on their way to a 76-12 fourth quarter lead.
Jones finished with a game high 26 points, while Moore finished with 25. Milton also finished in double figures with 17.
The Trojans will now head to Montgomery to play in the Regional Semifinals against the winner of Ramsay and Clay Central on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.
