The Troy Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Thursday to vote on a contract for interim superintendent Cynthia Thomas.

The board named Thomas interim superintendent of the school system on Feb. 18, when they also voted to enter a separation agreement with former superintendent Dr. Lee Hicks.

Although they named Thomas interim superintendent at the time, the details of her payment had not yet been finalized to put before the board.

Vice Chair Jonathan Cellon said the board called the special meeting to put that contract in place, and also to enter executive session to discuss the designation of an attorney as legal counsel for the board.

The two items are the only items listed on the agenda for the meeting, which will be held tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the Troy Central Board Office.
