Troy Regional Medical Center has released an online video with TRMC staff members explaining the importance of social distancing and explaining what measures citizens should take to comply with social distancing guidelines.

Smith said in these uncertain times, social distancing, if done properly, will go a long way in helping fight the coronavirus.

The TRMC medical professionals give tips on complying with social distancing measures including: Maintaining a six-foot distance, not shaking hands, limiting contact with people in your household as much as possible, canceling gatherings, ensuring that children and young people do not visit friends, cancel out of town travel and avoid touching items, including gas pumps and door handles with your bare hands.

The hospital’s Chief Clinical Officer encourages everyone to follow the guidelines to help flatten the curve.
