Ariton falls to Flomaton

The Ariton Purple Cats football team fell 20-29 against the Flomaton Hurricanes on Friday night in Ariton.
The Purple Cats recorded 412 total yards of offense, with 297 through the air, and 115 on the ground.
Ariton quarterback Ian Senn completed 21/39 of his passes and recorded a total of 297 yards with 2 touchdowns scored.
Hayes Floyd led the receiving squad with 5 catches for 111 yards. Landon Tyler had six catches for 108 yards, and Cade Webb had five catches for 75 yards.
The Purple Cat’s ground team was led by Jordan Smith, who recorded 60 total yards on 10 carries, while Landon Thrash ran the ball for 34 yards on 6 carries.
The Purple Cats scored 6 points in the first quarter, and 14 points in the second quarter, but were shutout in the next two quarters.
Hayes Floyd scored 2 touchdowns, a 2-yard rushing touchdown and a 22-yard reception for a touchdown. Cade Webb scored a 38-yard reception for a touchdown. For extra points, 2/3 were made after the 3 touchdowns scored.
The Purple Cats will be back in action next Friday night when they host Houston County.
