County lifts travel advisory; nearly 20 roads still closed

The Pike County Road Department has lifted the travel advisory for county roads, but several remain closed due to storm damage.
The travel advisory was lifted at 5 p.m. Friday, nearly 48 hours after it was put in place by county officials as the remnants of Hurricane Sally brought more than 10 inches of rainfall across the county overnight Wednesday.
At one time, 82 roads were closed due to water issues. As of Friday, the following county roads remained closed:

- 3340
- 4407
- 4420
- 4427 (north part)
- 5520
- 6616
- 6621
- 6622
- 6638
- 6639
- 7703 (dirt part)
- 5509
