Pike County has passed 915 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

As of the 10 a.m. Monday update from Alabama Department of Public Health, Pike County has reported 916 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since tracking begin in March, having added another six on Monday.

The county also has reported 245 presumed cases, based on rapid result tests, and eight confirmed deaths.

Combined, the total confirmed and presumed cases for Pike County 1,161.

The county’s 14-day positive rate on testing increased on Monday to 8.77 percent, just three days after the ADPH lowered the county’s risk assessment to moderate.

Troy University add 10 new cases of COVID-19 among students at the Troy campus on Monday, including five off campus. More than 345 students at the Troy campus have tested positive for COVID-19 since Aug. 3.

Statewide, 754 confirmed and 64 probable cases were added on Monday, bringing totals to 131,405 and 14,375 respectively, with 2,439 deaths. ADPH estimates 61,232 have recovered statewide; county recovery data is not available through ADPH.
