Greer Jones of Brundidge in Pike County exhibited the Overall Grand Champion Market Steer in the Alfa Farmers Jackpot Beef Show at the Alabama National Fair Oct. 18. His steer also was Champion in the Crossbred Division. Jones also exhibited the Champion Market Heifer in the Alfa Farmers Jackpot Beef Show. The judge was Dr. Jon DeClerck of College Station, Texas. Livestock shows at the Alabama National Fair are sponsored by the Alabama Farmers Federation and Alfa Insurance.
