Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The Goshen Eagles close out their season on Friday night when they host Montgomery Catholic at Eagles Stadium in Goshen.
The 2020 season has been all about growth for the young Goshen squad. The Eagles entered the season without many returning players and have had to fill holes with inexperienced players. Despite entering the final game winless on the season, it’s been a productive season for the players in purple and gold.
“We have seen a lot out of our kids,” head coach Bart Snyder said. “I have seen them go from being young boys to young men. The have great character and great loyalty to our program. It’s been an uphill battle and It’s been a process of learning. The scoreboard doesn’t look great, but they’re winners and they are going to go out as winners.”
Whatever happens Friday night, Snyder believes his future teams will be better because of what the current players have had to go through this season.
“We have a lot of younger players that are getting experience,” Snyder said. “They are dedicated to the program and they know what they need to do. I think the future is going to be bright here. They will be ready to get back to work next week. They are not ready for this thing to end.”
The Eagles will be taking on a Knights team that is coming off a 13-10 win over Trinity last Friday night. The Knights are 7-2 on the season and come into their region finale in first place in Class 3A Region 4. Unofficially, the Knights and the Eagles haven’t met since 2009. Kickoff between the two schools is scheduled for 7 p.m.
