Troy City Schools is still without a superintendent, as attempts to finalize a contract with Lee Hicks continue.
Roxie Kitchens, president of the school board, said late Wednesday that board members have not been able to finalize the contract with Hicks, who was selected to be superintendent on June 22.
“The problem is just getting his attorney to talk with our attorney,” Kitchens said.
Board members spent more than two hours during a work session on June 30, hammering out details of the contract with Board Attorney Richard Calhoun. Kitchens said Calhoun has not been able to finalize those details with Hicks’ attorney.
“We were going to have a called meeting (this morning), but we cancelled it because we don’t have a contract yet.”
