On Monday, the Associated Press (AP) released its annual All-America and Troy running back Kimani Vidal became the first Trojan to earn AP All-American honors since 2000.
Vidal was named Third-Team All-American by the AP, making him the 33th Trojan in school history to earn All-American honors and the ninth Troy player to earn FBS All-American honors.
Vidal has put together an unprecedented junior campaign, breaking the Troy single-game, single-season and career rushing records along with breaking the Sun Belt Championship rushing and touchdown record. He also earned Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year, All-Sun Belt and Sun Belt Championship MVP honors.
This is the third consecutive year that at least one Troy player has won All-America honors after Carlton Martial was named All-American in 2021 and 2021. Javon Solomon and Cameron Kaye also earned All-America honors in 2021.
