Charles Henderson junior defensive end Zion Grady has been named a finalist for the Class 5A Lineman of the Year for the second consecutive season.
Grady – who recently committed to play college football at Alabama – won the 5A Lineman of the Year in 2022, as well. This season, Grady earned All-State honors after tallying 87 tackles, 24 tackles-for-loss, 11 sacks, 22 quarterback hurries and an interception return for a touchdown. Grady helped lead Charles Henderson back to the second round of the state playoffs before falling eventual State Champion Gulf Shores.
Last year, Grady became the third Trojan to win Lineman of the Year and he now has a chance to become the first player in Charles Henderson history to win it twice.
