Alabama’s Primary Election will be held on Tuesday.

The only local election ontheballot if for Pike County Commission District 1. Democrats Sam C. Green and Greg Wright are competing for the commission seat that was vacated by Homer Wright.

The other major state race on the ballot is for United States Representative for the Second Congressional District.

There are 11 Democrats and eight Republicans seeking their party’s nomination for the November General Election.

This is also the presidential primary election. President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are both on the ballot along with challengers from their respective parties.

Alabama polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Identification is required to vote
