County Shootout: Charles Henderson upends Pike County

On Monday, the Charles Henderson Lady Trojans earned a 21-16 win in a wild shootout against the Pike County Lady Bulldogs.
The win avenges a March 7 loss to Pike County earlier in the season for the Lady Trojans. Janazia Cantlow had a big day at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, four RBIs and three runs, while Jada Jones went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and three runs. Camille Lewis went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one RBI and two runs.
Calleigh Compton struck out seven batters and gave up six hits and no earned runs in four innings pitched.
For Pike County, Emmya Moultry went 3-for-5 with a home run, four RBIs and three runs, while #Abigail Griffin went 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Hailey Griffin also went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs, while Jada Duncan scored four runs.
Ky Wilkerson pitched six and 1/3 innings and struck out nine batters, while giving up five hits and six earned runs.
Charles Henderson followed up with a 12-4 loss to Brewbaker Tech on Tuesday. Jones went 2-for-4 with a run. Compton hit a three-run home run, while Molly Garrett earned a double and Cantlow hit a triple. Garrett pitched all six innings and fanned three batters, while giving up 10 hits and five earned runs in the circle.
