Spring is here and with that comes spring football practices for local high school teams, as well as Troy University.

The Charles Henderson Trojans will open up spring practices on April 22 and wrap things up with a spring game against the Bullock County Hornets. Bullock County is coming off a 4-6 season in 2023.

The Pike County Bulldogs will open spring practices on May 6 and close things off with a four-way spring contest against American Christian Academy, Walter Wellborn and Highland Home on May 16. The game will take place at Faulkner University’s Billy Hilyer Stadium in Montgomery.

The Goshen Eagles will open spring practices on April 29 and will close things off with a spring game at Dale County on May 17.

The Zion Chapel Rebels begin spring football practices on May 6 and finish things off with a four-way spring game against Northside Methodist, Kinston and Abbville on May 17 at Rip Hewes Stadium in Dothan.

Pike Liberal Arts is opting to not have spring football practices and will instead get an extra week of practice in the fall.

Troy University is currently holding spring football practices on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays each week and will close things out with a spring game on March 27 at Veterans Memorial Stadium
