A TroyFest tradition has been, and continues to be, an original T-shirt design for each year of the arts and crafts festival.

For a time, elementary students would be invited to enter their designs in each year’s competition.

A winner would be selected and the winner’s design would on that year’s TroyFest T-shirt.

Recently, local artists have designed logos for TroyFest T-shirts.

When Mary Page was invited to create a design for TroyFest 2024, at first, she was not sure about designing a logo for a T-shirt.

But, she decided it would be a challenge and fun.

“I didn’t really have an idea for a design but Catherine Jordan, Colley Senior Complex director,  found a picture that was taken at an earlier TroyFest,” Page said. “It was a very good photograph. It showed the festival with tents and with different arts and crafts for sale. It was busy with people and showed cars parked along the street.”

Page was sure that the photograph was a “true” representation of TroyFest from to year.

“But, I wasn’t sure about all those tiny people and all the straight lines,” Page said. “I just didn’t know if I could do it.”

But, Mary Page did it.

And, it is a great T-shirt for a great event.

The T-shirts will be available at TroyFest 2024.
