Oscar Nelson Motes

Oscar Nelson Motes, age 84, a resident of Troy, died Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Troy Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 2 PM at Springhill Cemetery with the Rev. Will Jordan officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

He is survived by his sisters: Jane Rogers, Phyllis Bryan; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Lois Motes; children: Randy Motes, infant son: Chris Motes; and parents: Rubin and Myrtle Motes.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jerome Rogers, Garry Campbell, John Edward Motes, Greg Bryan, Terry Motes, and Michael Motes. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jim Little, Cleg Bender, Jackie Rogers, Ken Qualls, Dean Hall, and Greg Alton.
