Troy Regional, along with other hospitals across the nation, is celebrating National Hospital Week, May 12-18.
National Hospital Week takes place each year to recognize hospital, health systems and healthcare worker who provide care to their community.
TRMC has planned activities planned every day Monday through Friday during the week to express appreciation to the employees who work hard to provide the best possible care to patients close to home.
“We appreciate so much the dedicated team members who provide quality care to our patients and we want to focus this week on giving back,” said Rick Smith, Troy Regional CEO. “We are also thankful to the community partners who are sponsoring meal and giveaways during the week.”
National Hospital Week is celebrated on the heels of National Nurses Week, May 6-12. Troy Regional nurses, medical assistants and technicians celebrated with a special breakfast in their honor on May 6, National Nurses Day.
Troy Regional has been serving Pike and surrounding counties since 1969 and has about 325 employees. The facility, with 97 licensed beds, operates under the direction of Troy Health Care Authority Board. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
