Troy lands All-Conference transfer safety Ian Conerly-Goodly

On Wednesday, former Southeastern Louisiana safety Ian Conerly-Goodly announced his decision to transfer to Troy University to continue his football career.
Connerly-Goodly is a Covington, La., native that earned All-State and All-District honors at Covington High School. He started his career at Southeastern Louisiana, where he tallied 40 tackles and two forced fumbles as a true freshman in 2022.
In 2023, Conerly-Goodly had a hot start to the season, registering 15 tackles against Mississippi State in the season opener and he didn’t slow down after that. The 6-foot, 175-pound defensive back finished the season with a team-high 109 tackles, six tackles-for-loss, one interception and one forced fumble.
Conerly-Goodly earned First-Team All-Southland and First-Team All-Louisiana honors following his sophomore campaign. He earned an 87.9 grade by Pro Football Focus and was one of the highest graded defense backs in the FCS.
Conerly-Goodly will come to Troy with two years of eligibility remaining.
