This weekend, a single-vehicle crash involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) in Crenshaw County claimed the life of Troy resident Elvis W. Bowles.

Bowles, 41, was fatally injured on Friday, May 31, at 4:10 p.m. when the 2022 CForce 800XC ATV he was driving left the roadway and struck an embankment. According to a release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Bowles was thrown from the ATV and pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Athens Church Road near Golden Road, four miles east of Luverne. ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash.
