Ja’Mia Hollings signs professional baksetballl contract

This week, former Troy Trojan Ja’Mia Hollings signed a professional basketball contract with the ASA Sceaux in France.
Hollings is coming off a senior season that saw the 6-foot-2-inch forward earn All-Sun Belt Conference honors as she led the conference in rebounds and score the sixth most points in a single season in Troy Division I history. She averaged 15.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.8 blocks per game this year.
“(Hollings) is continuing to make her dreams come true,” Troy head coach Chanda Rigby said. “She told me from day one that she wanted to earn her college degree, be an all-conference D-I player and play professionally overseas. She went to work and stayed determined to reach all of her goals. Signing this pro contract means she accomplished everything she set out to do. My staff and I are so proud of her and happy for her.”
As a junior Hollings also earned All-Sun Belt honors, averaging 12.7 points, 8.4 rebounds, one assist, 0.7 blocks and 1.3 steals per game. Hollings, known by teammates as “Stix,”was just the 26th player in Troy history to surpass 1,000 career points.
The West Point, Ga., native started her college career at East Mississippi Community College, where she earned All-MACCC and All-Region 23 honors in both her seasons in Scooba, Miss.
ASA Sceaux is a professional basketball team located in Paris, France, that was founded in 192. The ASA Sceaux plays in the National Women’s Basketball Champions 1 (NF1), the third national division of women’s basketball in France.
