On Friday, Ben Busbee, Charles Henderson Child Health Center executive director, took a few minutes to talk about his upcoming retirement and to acknowledge the many who have been part of his 14 years of leadership.
He also took the opportunity to welcome Jessica Lynn Wingate and wish her all the best in her role as the executive director of CHCHC.
Busbee said being the administrator of a child health care facility with such a rich history and outstanding reputation for quality care for children has been an honor and a blessing.
“I have enjoyed the relationships I have cultivated over the years with the staff, the parents and especially the kids,” Busbee said. “I want to thank each and every one who has been a part of making my time here a blessing. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to work with an outstanding health care center, with the best people and in the best community. I will leave knowing that Charles Henderson Health Center will continue as an outstanding child health care center under the leadership of Jessica Lynn Wingate, who comes to CHCHC with a strong background in health care.”
Wingate, who makes her home in Dothan, has been administrator of the Fairview Clinic in Dothan from 2007-2024 and was previously administrator of the Alabama Asthma and Allergy, P.C. also in Dothan.
Wingate said she is honored to follow an administrator the caliber of Busbee, and to be at Charles Henderson Child Health Center and a part of the extended Troy and Pike County communities.
