Over the weekend, the Troy University men’s basketball team earned a commitment from incoming Sumter-Central senior Emmanuel Clarton.
Clarton is a Livingston native that helped Sumter-Central to the Class 3A Final Four in each of the last two seasons. Clarton has also earned All-Area, All-Region and All-State honors the past two seasons. As a junior, he averaged 25.6 points, six rebounds and seven assists per game along with totaling 76 steals on the season.
The 6-foot-5-inch guard committed to Troy over the weekend. He also holds offers from schools like Tennessee Tech. Clarton was selected to play in the AHSAA North-South All-Star Game this summer and was named to the Tuscaloosa Super 5 Team.
