Troy signee Mya Holt earns Super All-State honors

Over the weekend, future Troy Trojan Mya Holt was named to the ASWA Super All-State softball team.
The Super All-State team compiles the top softball players in the State of Alabama, regardless of classification. This is her second consecutive year on the Super All-State team. Holt also earned Class 6A First-Team All-State honors. Holt is a Wetumpka native that plays pitcher and outfielder.
Holt, who earned Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior, finished her senior campaign earning All-State, Super All-State and Elmore County Player of the Year honors. She also helped lead Wetumpka to back-to-back Elite 8 appearances.
She boasted a .478 batting average this season with 16 doubles, six triples, 19 home runs, 54 RBIs and 53 runs. She also earned a 28-5 record as a starting pitcher with 210 strikeouts and a 1.17 ERA. She also boasted a .976 fielding percentage with 74 putouts, seven assists and four double plays.
During her high school career, Holt held a .427 batting average and totaled 294 career hits, 72 doubles, 12 triples, 69 homers, 302 RBIs and 199 runs. As a pitcher, she held a career starting record of 112-27 with a career ERA of 1.41. She struck out 734 batters in her career and opposing hitters held just a .195 batting average against her. She also held a career fielding percentage of .969 with 387 putouts, 19 assists and 15 double plays. During her entire career Holt committed just 13 errors in 419 total chances.
Holt finished her career with 20 Wetumpka High School career records and eight single-season records. She’s the school’s all-time record holder in home runs, RBIs, hits, doubles, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, career wins at pitcher, career ERA, strikeouts and batting average against.
