The postseason honors continue to roll in for Troy junior catcher Brooks Bryan, who was named to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-Southeast Region First-Team.
Bryan set the Troy single season RBI record this season at Troy and earned All-Sun Belt honors along with being named a Semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award and Dick Howser Trophy.
The Opelika native was a member of the Troy Post 70 summer league team that won an American Legion World Series Championship in 2022. He boasted a .279 batting average this season with 10 doubles, three triples, 18 home runs, 85 RBIs, 52 runs and a .589 slugging percentage. Defensively, he held a .989 fielding percentage with 245 putouts, 20 assists and three double plays.
In May, Bryan was selected to take part in the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team’s Training Camp later this month.
Bryan is the third Trojan in the last four years to earn All-Region honors. Shane Lewis in 2023 and Logan Cerny in 2021 were also selected to the All-Region team. Bryan is the only Sun Belt player represented on the All-Region Team. Other players from the State of Alabama making All-Region included Auburn’s Ike Irish; UAB’s Blayze Berry, Alabama’s Justin Lebron; and Samford’s Michael Ross, John Anderson and Garrett Howe.
