The Johnson Center for the Arts offers kids a new way to play-ArtPlay.
Andrea Pack, JCA director, said she could put Art-Play into words but that would not be sufficient.
“You would have to just come and see kids at ArtPlay,” Pack said.
The Johnson Center for the Arts now has a room in the lower gallery that is a dedicated place for kids to come and play creatively.
“The Johnson Center has a room just for children (Pre-k) to come and play with paint, crayons, sponges, play dough and even messy finger paint… with wet paper,” Pack said. “The Johnson Center furnishes all the ArtPlay materials and invites children and moms to come and ArtPlay.
Pack said kids like to have a place where they can play, freely, and moms like having a place where they can enjoy watching their children connected with the arts without making a messy mess at home.
ArtPlay is open for PreK ages from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
There is no charge for ArtPlay or the memories made.
