When Matilda heard the Brundidge Historical Society was going to host a presentation of “Gals with Guts and Gusto”at the We Piddle Around Theater, she went straight to her closet and got out her gusto outfit – cowgirl 10-gallon hat, red bandanna, boots, water pistol and … a double dose of gusto.
Matilda is known all across the country as she travels from one Frontier Day to the other to ride horses, herd sheep and cattle, rope, hoots and sing and flip hotcakes. She leaves town on a fast-moving stagecoach bound for next western state. Anywhere, anytime, Matilda, hears, “yee ha!” she gallops of in that direction for the fun and frolic of the Old West.
