Pioneer Museum of Alabama to welcome Locklar’s Rolling Store as permanent display

The Pioneer Museum of Alabama will be “Rolling” into the Fourth of July with regular museum hours 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and a special celebration of the 1947 Locklar Rolling Store’s becoming a permanent addition to the museum from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Barbara Tatom, museum director, said the grand opening of the Locklar Rolling Store addition to the museum will be from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The history of the rolling store will be shared by Ceciel and Faye Locklar.
The museum’s Fourth of July celebration will also include the unveiling of the Artemis I Moon Tree.
There will be ice cream and fried apples, children’s activities, live music and games throughout the day’s events.
Everyone is encouraged to celebrate Independence Day by “Rolling into the Fourth” at the Pioneer Museum of Alabama.
Admission will be charged.
