This offseason, the Troy Trojans football staff has been busy adding to its upcoming recruiting classes and that has continued over the past few weeks.
On June 27, Troup County (Ga.) offensive lineman Jatorian Blackmon announced his commitment to Troy. Blackmon – a six-foot-4-inch, 315-pounder – committed to Troy over offers from other schools like Cincinnati, Vanderbilt, Kent State, Appalachian State, Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee. Blackmon earned Class 4A All-State honorable mention last season.
On July 7, King – a 6-foot-4-inch, 215-pound – tight end from Gainesville, Ga., announced his commitment to Troy’s Class of 2025, as well. King committed to Troy over offers from other schools like Samford and Texas Southern. In nine games in his high school career – at both receiver and tight end – King has caught 14 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns.
Troy also added its second commitment to the Class of 2026 when BC Rain defensive end Aaron Moore committed to the Trojans on June 28. Moore committed to Troy over offers from programs like South Alabama, Louisiana, Marshall and others. Troy previously earned a 2026 commitment from Moore’s BC Rain teammate LD Moore in June.
