On Tuesday, former Troy Trojan Lawrence Tynes was named as one of the 100 greatest New York Giants of all-time.  

Tynes landed as No. 91 on the Top 100 Giants list after a legendary career. The two-time Super Bowl winner grew up in Milton, Fla., and came to Troy originally as a walk-on freshman. He would go on to break a number of Troy kicking records and become a Troy Athletics Hall of Famer. He ended his Trojan career ranked third all-time in field goals made (44) and second all-time in field goal percentage (77.2). His 98.2 PAT percentage is a Troy record, as well. 

After going undrafted in the 2001 NFL Draft, Tynes originally signed with the Kansas City Chiefs and played for the Scottish Claymore – Tynes was born in Scotland – of NFL Europe in 2002 before returning to Chiefs in 2004. Tynes went on to sign with the Giants in 2007 and played there through 2012. 

During his Giant career, he hit game-winning field goals twice in overtime of NFC Championship games to send the Giants to their Super Bowl appearances. During his Giant career, he boasted an 83.6 percent field goal percentage and ranked third all-time in field goal makes in a career. His 220 PATs and 586 total points also ranks second in franchise history.
