Troy Tiger Sharks qualify for State Swim Meet

On Saturday, July 13th, the Troy Tiger Sharks Swim Team travelled to Dothan for the District VI Swim Meet.
The Tiger Sharks placed 3rd overall in the district and had 22 swimmers qualify in a combined total of 37 individual entries and 7 relays for the State Swimming Championships that will be held in Opelika, Alabama July 26th-27th.
Individual results are listed below.
Gwyn Parker competed in the 9-10 girls division earning her spot at state by placing 2nd in the 100 Individual Medley, 4th in the 50 breaststroke, 1st in the girls 9-10 200 medley relay, and 1st in the girls 9-10 200 freestyle relay. Breaststroke
Kolbi Parker competed in the 11-12 girls division earning her spot at state by placing 4th in the 50 breast, 4th in the mixed 11-12 200 freestyle relay, and 3rd in the mixed 11-12 200 medley relay.
Piper Pennington competed in the 11-12 girls division securing her spot at state by placing 2nd and making the state qualifying time for the 50 freestyle, 3rd in the 50 buUerfly, 3rd in the 50 breaststroke, 4th in the mixed 11-12 200 freestyle relay, and 3rd in the mixed 11-12 200 medley relay.
Blakeley Smith competed in the 9-10 girls division earning her spot at state by placing 1st in the 9-10 girls 200 medley relay, 2nd in the 50 breaststroke, 4th in the 100 freestyle, 1st in the 50 buUerfly, and 1st in the 9-10 girls 200 freestyle relay.
Katherine Rainey competed in the 9-10 girls division earning her spot at state by placing 1st in the 9-10 girls 200 medley relay, 3rd in the 50 freestyle, 3rd in the 100 freestyle, 2nd in the 50 backstroke, and 1st in the 9-10 girls 200 freestyle relay.
Baylor Smith competed in the 8 and under girls in all of her individual events and swimming up an age division in her relays. She placed 3rd in the 8 and under 25 fly, 1st in the 9-10 girls 200 medley relay and 1st in the 9-10 girls 200 freestyle relay.
Charlee Smith competed in the 8 and under girls division securing her spot at state by placing 4th in the 100 medley relay, made the state qualifying time in the 25 yard freestyle, placed 2nd in the 25 breaststroke, made the state qualifying time in the 25 backstroke and placed 3rd in the 8 and under girls 100 freestyle relay.
Oliver Parker competed in the 8 and under boys division earning his spot at state by placing 1st and making the state qualifying time in the 25 freestyle and placed 3rd in the 25 buUerfly.
Adyn Norris competed in the 15-18 girls division earning her spot at state by placing 3rd in the mixed 15-18 200 freestyle relay, 4th in the 50 buUerfly and 3rd in the 50 backstroke.
Baylor Pennington competed in the 13-14 boys division in his individual events and one relay. He also swam up in the 15-18 age division in another relay. He secured his spot at state by making the qualifying time and placing 1st in the 100 individual medley, making the qualifying time and placing 1st in the 50 freestyle, and making the qualifying time and placing 1st in the 100 freestyle. He also placed 1st in the
13-14 individual medley relay and placed 3rd in the 15-18 freestyle relay.
Jesse Swindall competed in the 13-14 boys division in his individual events and one relay while also swimming up an age group in the 15-18 division for a second relay. Jesse secured his spot at state by placing 3rd in the 100 individual medley, 4th in the 50 freestyle, 2nd in the 50 breaststroke, 3rd in 15-18 mixed medley relay, and 1st in the 13-14 200 freestyle relay.
Brea Swindall competed in the 13-14 girls division in her individual events and one relay while also swimming up an age group to swim a second relay. She earned her spot for state by placing 3rd in the 50 breaststroke, 1st in the 13-14 200 medley relay, and 3rd in the 15-18 200 freestyle relay.
Alyssa Forehand competed in the 13-14 girls division earning her spot for state by placing 3rd in the 100 freestyle, 1st in the 50 buUerfly, 3rd in the 50 backstroke, and 1st in the mixed 13-14 200 medley relay.
Ryan Swindall competed in the 11-12 boys division earning his spot for state by placing 2nd in the 50 freestyle, 2nd in the 100 freestyle, 4th in the 50 backstroke, 4th in the mixed 11-12 200 freestyle relay, 4th in the 11-12 200 freestyle relay, and 3rd in the 11-12 200 medley relay.
Shelton Herndon competed in the 11-12 boys division securing his spot at state by placing 2nd in the 50 buUerfly and placing 4th in the 11-12 200 freestyle relay.
Jax Horn competed in the 9-10 boys division and swimming up an age division in two relays. He secured his spot at state by placing 4th in the 50 breaststroke, 2nd in the 100 freestyle, 3rd in the 11-12 mixed 200 freestyle relay, and 3rd in the mixed 200 medley relay.
Savannah Rainey competed in the 8 and under girls division earning her spot at state by placing 4th in the 25 buUerfly and 4th in the 8 and under 100 medley relay.
Emma Estes competed in the 8 and under girls division earning her spot at state by placing 4th in the 8 and under 100 medley relay.
Breena Martin competed in the 8 and under girls division earning her spot at state by placing 3rd in the 8 and under 100 freestyle relay.
Hadley Felch competed in the 8 and under girls division earning her spot at state by placing 3rd in the 8 and under 100 freestyle relay.
Elias Meadows competed in the 11-12 boys division earning her spot at state by placing 4th in the 8 and under 200 freestyle relay.
Rosalyn Parker competed in the 8 and under division earning her spot at state by placing 3rd in the 8 and under 100 freestyle relay, placing 4th in the 8 and under 100 medley relay, 2nd in the 25 buUerfly and 3rd in the 100 freestyle.
