The Johnson Center for the Arts will host a reception and art talk for the opening exhibition of Mary H. Johnson’s opening of “Time Travel – My Creative Journey” from five until seven p.m. September 12, at 300 East Walnut Street in downtown Troy. The public is invited.
“I am excited to announce that I have a one-woman show at the Johnson Center for the Arts,” Johnson said. “The show is titled ‘Time Travel-My Creative Journey.’ It is a retrospective of the different art forms I have used during my creative adventure over the past 20 years.”
Johnson’s show will be in the lower-level galleries and Chintia Kirana, another artist, will be exhibiting in the upper galleries.
“My exhibit is housed in four separate galleries,” Johnson said. “Each gallery is dedicated to a different art form.
“Gallery One is dedicate to Gel plate printing and collage; Gallery Two is dedicated to relations inspired by nature; Gallery Three is dedicated to Jewelry and Gallery 4 to photography.”
Everyone is invited to attend the reception, the artist talk and the opportunity to visit with Mary Holman Johnson and learn more about her artwork.
“I hope you will be able to make it to the reception and I look forward to seeing all of you,” Johnson said.
