Once again, it’s time for 2nd Saturday Studio at The Studio, 301 East Walnut Street in downtown Troy. And admission is free but limited to 20.

At  2nd Saturday Studio, those who want to know more about Gelli Printing will have the opportunity to learn from Mary Holman Johnson a highly acclaimed artist from Troy.

Johnson said Gelli Printing is a process that uses a gelatin plate to press to fabric or paper.

According to the artist, the process is easy as the paint is put on the gel surface, spread out with a brayer, then a variety of stencils and other textural objects are place on the gel plat, removed and place on the fabric.
