Ally-Anna Outlaw named to Leadership Institute

Ally-Anna Outlaw, of Brundidge and a graduate of Carrol High School, has been named to The Shelby Institute for Policy and Leadership at The University of Alabama.

She is one of the 39 students selected as the inaugural class of Shelby Scholars – an undergraduate program within the Institute.

Ally-Anna is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Business Administration with a major in Public Relations/Advertising and a minor in Management. She is set to graduate in May 2025.

She expressed appreciation for the opportunity to be a part of The Shelby Institute for Policy and Leadership at the University of Alabama.

The Shelby Scholars program offers a credit-bearing curriculum designed to provide students from any academic field with a deep understanding of policy and public service through unique programming, experiential learning and interactions with prominent guest lecturers.

Being a member of the inaugural class of Shelby Scholars at the University of Alabama is an honor, Ally- Anna said and she is looking forward to the opportunities for learning and fellowship.

Ally-Anna’s academic achievements have been recognized through honors such as the Order of Omega Honor Society Outstanding Sophomore and Junior, inclusion in the National Society of Academic Excellence, Blue Key Honor Society, and consistent placement on the Dean’s List.
