‘The Troy Shriners’ 2024 Pike County Fair will be remembered as one of the most fun and exciting in recent memory.

The Midway features many of the long running rides including the Ferris wheel, the Merry Go Round and kids “bumper’ car and many  new and exciting rides for those looking for scared-screaming kind of rides.

Shriner Freddie Turner everyone is having a laughter and squeals on the rides, and carnival foods including funnel cakes, which are now known at genuine “fair foods.”

To a one, the Shriners said, in addition to a midway of exciting and fun rides for all ages, the 2024 Pike County Fair Midway included games for prizes for all ages. The fishing booth is mong the kids’ favorite and most challenging. For the adults, it was the booth that offers the best opportunity to win prizes for their little ones.

The pavilion is a favorite place for those who enjoy good music of all kinds and also like to get up and dance.

The Barn was a big attraction for all ages. The rooster probably even kept the chickens up at night with all that crowing  but, the horse was, perhaps, the favorite of barnyard animals.

The artwork of school kids throughout the county was a favorite midway stopping place. Much of the artwork focused on the fall season. Pumpkins, witches and black cats are favorite subjects.

The exhibition hall includes handmade and homemade items and booths featuring clubs, organizations and local businesses.

The Pike County Fair continues tonight and Saturday. Turner said there is nothingmore fun than a county farir on an autumn night.
