JCA student art show underway

The always popular “Student Art the Size of a Dollar Bill: art exhibit opened at the Johnson Center for the Arts on Friday and features artwork by students of all ages from local schools and homeschool programs.

“The student ‘Art the Size of a Dollar Bill’ exhibit is sponsored annually by Troy Bank and Trust and is one of the most popular exhibits at the JCA,” Andrea Pack said, JCA director. The award ceremony will be held on October 24 for the winners.
However, Pack said all students who entered Art the Size of a Dollar Bill exhibit are winners.
She expressed appreciation to the teachers, who encouraged their students to enter the art exhibit and to the parents for their support of the arts in the schools.
Pack said family members and teachers look forward to viewing the artwork of local students and community members who appreciate the support of the arts by local schools and homeschools in the community.
The Johnson Center for the Arts is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission is free.
