Wiley Sanders Truck Lines provided a transfer truck that left Brundidge Tuesday morning in a relief effort for victims of Hurricane Helene.

The truck was filled with flood buckets, pallets of water, canned food, diapers/wipes, pet food and tarps. The relief effort was made possible by local donations

Kevin Kris, pastor of Brundidge Methodist Church, said the truck was headed for Palmetto, Florida, near Tampa.

“What we are learning is that more area stores are getting up and running and that’s good news,” Kris said.

The relief effort was made possible through donations and dollars from the local community. Kris expressed appreciation to all those who donated to the relief effort and to Wiley Sanders Truck Lines for the truck and the driver.
