According to Troy Police Chief Danny Barron, the Troy Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Oct. 25, around 7 p.m. in the 100 block of University Avenue.

Barron said officers responded to reports of gunshots involving two individuals, one firing from a vehicle and the other on foot. No suspects were located at the scene, but witnesses provided descriptions, Barron said.

A nearby residence and an unoccupied parked vehicle were damaged by gunfire, but no injuries were reported, Barron said. Early information suggests the incident may have followed an altercation inside a nearby business, Barron said..
